What is a Massage Therapist?

Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are licensed practitioners who specialize in hands-on soft-tissue therapy. All massage therapists working at PhysioCore and Sports RehabĀ are licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy manipulates soft tissues (connective tissue, muscle, tendons and ligaments) of the body in order to help alleviate stress in areas such as the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet. Massage can also aid with headaches and sports injuries such as sprains, strains and spasms. By decreasing muscle resting tension, massageĀ  therapy helps to improve body function, increase circulation, promote relaxation and prevent and/or reduce pain.
